Coaching is all about you, but the working relationship you have with your coach is incredibly important to success, so to help you decide whether I might be the right coach for you, here’s a little bit more about me…
My name’s Teresa Roberts, and aside from being a professional coach, I’m a dedicated parent, a business owner and a lifelong learner… I also love baking and have to be dragged off dance floors at parties (there’s no such thing as ‘mum dancing’ right?). I’m passionate about people being the hero of their own life story and writing a tale that feels authentic to them and makes them smile, and for most of us, the work that we do is a big part of that life story.
I founded Energised Focus because I believe in the power of coaching to support personal and professional development in ways that go beyond traditional training. At various times, coaching has helped me to better understand myself and make positive changes in a whole range of situations, including identifying my priorities and re-balancing my time, developing as a leader, becoming a mum, changing careers and starting my own business. Being able to support others to do the same is incredibly rewarding.
I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and I work within their Code of Ethics (click here to read more). I trained with Barefoot Coaching, undertaking an in-depth and experiential course that is accredited by the International Coaching Federation, and I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester. I take my ongoing professional development seriously and undertake a variety of activities to ensure that I continue to develop my skills and coaching approach.
My background is originally in life sciences and public relations, and I had a very successful career and senior role in communications before setting up my own business. You can read more about my other qualifications and my professional background on my LinkedIn profile.
